Aloha,
January 21, 2026 marked the opening of the 2026 Legislative Session at the Hawaiʻi State Capitol, and I’m grateful to everyone who joined us to begin this new chapter together.
Opening Day was intentionally simple and low-key — a moment to reflect on the responsibility of public service and the work ahead. I was honored to be sworn in alongside my colleagues and to take part in the traditions that mark the start of a new legislative session.
After the program, it was a pleasure to welcome constituents, friends, and community members to my office. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello and share your thoughts. These conversations are a reminder of who we serve and why this work matters.
As the session gets underway, I remain committed to listening, collaborating, and working diligently on behalf of our district and our state. I look forward to keeping you updated throughout the weeks ahead. Mahalo for your continued support.
Warm regards, Sen. Samantha DeCorte
